My art career has spanned more than four decades. I have worked as a college art instructor, freelance illustrator and designer inside the stationary industry, and as a fine artist and painter in my own studio setting. Most recently, I have used the computer to create a collection of digital images. These direct-to-disk images are a collage of photographs, paintings, and digitally created works that have been combined as an original piece of artwork.
As a watercolor painter, I am a five-time award winner in Watercolor USA exhibitions. I achieved signature member status of the American Watercolor Society in 1990, but am no longer active. This collection of digital archival prints represents another method of drawing, painting, and creating artwork. The computer allows me to expand my skills and move in another direction of artistic expression that I find both challenging and self-rewarding. I believe in pushing the edge of the creative envelope. I have always believed that there are no rules when it comes to making art. After all, art is in the eye of the beholder.
