This website is dedicated to artwork created digitally on the computer.
My new body of digitally created artwork utilizes the use of Photo-Manipulation and Collage direct-to-disk. I also make use of Chameleon-like “natural media” software that mimics the appearance of traditional media, such as chalk, pastel, ink, watercolor, and pencil using a pressure sensitive drawing tablet to transpose linear movements into digital line and brush strokes. Pieces of printed-paper, photographs and digitally created artwork are dissected, torn apart, and reassembled inside the computer. This sometimes utilizes hundreds of layers. These layers each vary in texture and transparency. Multiple layers are stacked, torn, and reassembled to create subtle textures and designs. This use of the computer for creating a visual piece of printed artwork may just be the ultimate Mixed Media Art form.
